Our general aims are to stimulate students via the undergraduate and graduate curricula and to develop a research program with the combination of basic and applied marine science to emphasize sustaining utilization of marine resources.

Fisheries Biology and Management: To focus on assessment of biological resources in order to carry on a fisheries management concerned about sustainability, to expand our knowledge on biology of targeted fisheries species, and to improve our ability in stock assessment to develop and manage sustainable fisheries management with responsible fishing technology.
Environmental Biology and Conserving Biodiversity: To concentrate on the interrelationship between biodiversity and marine environment and to assess marine biological resources and conserve biodiversity through our understanding of the environmental impact on marine resources and biodiversity.
